تعتزم شركة أبل العالمية طرح جهاز كمبيوتر شخصي محمول متناهي الصغر، يتضمن مجموعة من الخدمات التي يُفترض أن توزع على عدة أجهزة، كخدمات الاتصال والتصوير وغير ذلك.

ونقلت وكالة بلومبرغ عن مصدر مطلع في شركة أبل ان الجهاز الجديد سيتم إعلانه خلال الشهر الجاري، على أن يُطرح للبيع في الأسواق بحلول شهر مارس المقبل.

وبحسب الوكالة فإن من المتوقع أن يساعد طرح هذا الجهاز الجديد المبتكر شركة أبل على اجتذاب مزيد من المستهلكين، ورفع الطلب على منتجاتها، لكنه سيشعل المنافسة بينها وبين العديد من الشركات، لاسيما شركة أمازون المتخصصة في الكتب الالكترونية، و'أيسر' المتخصصة في التكنولوجيا متناهية الصغر.

والجهاز الجديد المرتقب سيحدث ما يشبه الثورة في عالم الكمبيوتر المحمول، إذ سيُمكن المستخدمين من تحميل الكتب الالكترونية وتصفحها وقراءتها بطريقة أسهل مما هي عليه حالياً، كما أنه سيوفر العديد من الامتيازات كملفات الفيديو والصور والصوت التي ستكون مرتبطة بالنص الموجود داخل كل كتاب، بما يجعل منه في النهاية موسوعة.
